Description:
Q:
What would virtual space be like? How can it be thought? How can it be realised? Can the ways in which we conceive and occupy space be reconsidered to express meaning at the current speed of cultural change? Is it possible to Re - think or Re - invent space in terms of the basic ontology of indeterminacy?
Design a Virtual Australian Parliament Agency that is grounded in the characteristics of indeterminacy and generated with digital technologies. Produce an architecture that does not contain or legitimise an already given or embodied sign system, where form and space could be proposed from an idea that lies within a fluid process of becoming and duration, and of space and time.

Imagine...before reading the end of this article...you die.
What will happen? What will become of your data, your digital assets? What do you pass on to the next generation? Can your survivors box up our digital life and archive it? Or will the data be lost without people to tend it?
Or will the data live on forever? Can our digital self image achieve immortality?
Three generations have now been using computers most of their lives. We have been busy collecting digital photos, music and movies. Recently, we have begun uploading our digital assets to the Web and sharing them with each other.
We have also been busy expressing and describing our thoughts using blogs and online profiles. As of late we have begun connecting these profiles to one another, creating a complex landscape of online social networks.
Now imagine leading a quality digital life for 50 more years. What will happen when you die? What will become of your online accounts? Your data? What do people pass on to their heirs?
ENTER DNA - The Digital Native Archive.
DNA | Digital Native Archive is a proposed agency within the Australian Government.
It is a future projection of an addition to the current births, death and marriages registries.
In its simplest form, DNA is a summation of individual digital legacy.
DNA aims to question the concept of the digital afterlife and the allure of immortality achievable within virtual dimensions. It is not aimed to be an escapist retreat for the mourning of loved ones, but rather a visual archive of individuals, context and community.
