My work deals with embodied knowledge. I refer to my female anatomical body as a map to locate physical sensations which arise from drives and instincts, needs and desires, thoughts and feelings, memories and emotions. My work addresses feelings, both familiar and unfamiliar, that, when ignored or repressed, have resulted in uncontrolled and impulsive choices. And when acknowledged and embraced have provided a heightened intuitive wisdom and awareness. These works consider how an explicit material probing cannot access the instinctive, intuitive or tacit knowledge stored within bodily structures.
