Welcome to the 10th iteration of the SHAPE of Things to Come, QUT’s annual exhibition of outstanding graduate works from the Creative Industries Faculty. Since the inaugural SHAPE exhibition in 2007, the program has displayed over 280 works in the Block by QUT graduates who have achieved excellence in their study and practice across the creative arts and design. SHAPE was established as a collaborative initiative between the University’s Creative Industries and Built Environment Faculties, together with QUT Creative Industries Precinct, and continues to reveal the conceptual and aesthetic trends of emerging practices.

To celebrate the 10-year milestone of SHAPE, this year’s exhibition, The Anniversary Show, takes the opportunity to showcase select works by the graduates of 2015, alongside the creative practices of SHAPE alumni. The inclusion of works by SHAPE alumni demonstrates the enduring accomplishments of QUT graduates within the multidisciplinary landscape of the Creative Industries, and proposes possible pathways for the developing careers of commencing and prospective students.

We welcome you explore and experience the works of a diverse range of creative and professional skills, industries and practices, and invite you to re-visit the entire SHAPE website http://shape.qut.edu.au/, a living archive of the creative practices that have been shown this past decade.
